Two lists: 6-29-00

What I'm looking forward to at home: What I'll miss about Japan:
  • My fiance
  • My family
  • My friends
  • Driving
  • Movies (in a movie theatre)
  • Beautiful weather
  • Really good Chinese, Mexican, Vietnamese, and Indian food
  • Low-cal, low-fat foods for easy dieting
  • Shopping (and finding clothes that fit!)
  • A new job (whatever it may be)
  • A new computer after a few months
  • The new Harry Potter book
  • A different hair colour
  • Joining the alumni chapter of my sorority
  • Bagels
  • English all the time!
  • Cereals other than corn flakes
  • Thanksgiving
  • My genki students
  • The friends I've made here
  • My supervisor
  • J-pop
  • The beautiful scenery
  • Vending machines
  • Lawson's convenience store
  • Gakkou e Ikou!
  • Cheap manga
  • Shaved ice in the summer
  • Oden in the winter
  • Onsen
  • Trains
  • Speaking Japanese on a daily basis
  • Interesting fashion trends

Of course, there are so many other things that could be added to both lists- the items I wrote down are just what happen to be running through my head right now. I am so looking forward to going home, but that doesn't mean I have negative feelings towards Japan. There are positive things about both here and home, so I just thought I'd write up these lists to illustrate how I feel.
